How and where do I make a Name Change on my property?
All Name Changes must be submitted to the correct Appraisal District for processing.  The Tax Assesor-Collector does not have the authority to make name changes, only the county's Appraisal District. You can use the information in the Appraisal Districts section to contact the Appraisal District and get more information about Name Changes.
When does a Tax Payment become Delinquent?
Tax Statements are usually mailed in October. The normal delinquency date is February 1st, but may be later depending on when your tax statement is mailed. If your statement is mailed after January 10th, your delinquency date will be the first day of the next month that will provide you with at least 21 days for paying the bill.
If my statement does not show the correct exemption(s), what do I do?
All exemptions that you may qualify for are managed by the appropriate Appraisal District. You can check with your Tax Collector-Accessor to verify that your municipal utility district honors your exemptions, since not all taxing entities have to honor every exemption that you may be entitled to. You can use the information in the Appraisal Districts section to contact the Appraisal District and get more information about Name Changes.
What should I do if my property value is not correct?
All property values are set by the Appraisal District as of January 1st.  If you feel that your property value is incorrect, you need to contact the Appraisal District to obtain the correct forms and procedures for requesting changes to the appraised value of your property. You can use the information in the Appraisal Districts section to contact the Appraisal District and get more information about Name Changes.
Will I get a receipt for my tax payment?
The Tax Assessor-Collector is not required to send a separate receipt for your tax payment. You can use your check for your receipt. If you make your payment at our offices, you can request a payment receipt.
